Just for You

Well, when Japan had it's horrible weather, tsunami, earthquake, etc.  Sparkle Smith did her part by offering Rin at a special price and contribution to the cause!  Well, I'm definitely one to buy/do whatever is for a cause - I'd purchased a few of these images - whoever was helping out - count me in!  Now Sparkle has great rubber stamps - check her out here at Sparkle Creations.  Sparkle has great work and she's reasonable.  I'm trying to collect all her stamps!  Takes time - but I'm getting there!  Anyway, the challenge was this picture
Well, this is my version of the room!  I have used more muted colors but I used pinks, purple, blue, yellow and a tint of green with some white accents.  I hope you enjoy my card!  I enjoyed making it!
Challenge

A Quick Mom token!

The challenge was to use an old Cart 3d style!  So, of course, you say cricut and 3d and I right away think Tags, Bag, etc  So, I used the popcorn box and cut a heart in the middle of the front.  I then attached a digi - Some Odd Girl and put Mom and a bow and Bam!  Another Mother's gift!  I love my Momma and love to shower her with "stuff"!!  So, here's to you Momma!

Read 'Em Cowboy!

Ok - question is - if you read my last post you'd know - I'm on a book mark quest!  I need a few for a friend!  This one is cute as can be - I'm going to send a few to my friend and I have a few others that keep asking me for them - they're simple - especially the way I make them!  I love making them and it's so much more fun than a piece of paper or dog earring a page!  This is a Meljen's image - and the challenge is from Meljens - Make a book marker - I hope you like it!  I do!

Well, I guess not everyone thinks so - but I think it's FUN to read!  I thought I'd do another bookmarker.  Actually - I've promised 3 book markers to a friend/client and so I'm gonna' crank out a few - and...my daughter wants another one!  I actually won a contest with hers!  It was a snoopy on a chopper.  She wants another one!  She saw my digis printed and picked her image - this time she's gonna' color it!  I'll post it when she's done it - she's pretty darn good for an 11 year old! Anyway, this is a Pollycraft image and I think it fits!  Reading is FUN!

A Star is Born!

This week the challenge over at Digi's With Attitude challenge Blog is to use a STAR!  That seems simple enough!  Well, I decided to use the Movie Star Tween and my cricut to cut some stars from my Create A Critter Cartridge.  Seems funny but I loved the stars on that cart!  I used my new cuttlebug labels (similar to the Spellbinders).  They have some great larger labels!  Anyway - I just love her - she's a new release this week along with the fortune teller - I just gotta have her!  Now go check out the Design Team and see what they've created!  It's just amazing I promise!  Just remember to highlight a star or someone who is a star in your life!  it's simple and you could win one of these fabulous images!  They are just a blast to play with!  No go on over here - Digi's With Attitude Challenge Blog.  Show us who your star is!

Dance is the Song of the Body

I decided to try a twisted easel card - I'm not a square card girl unless the challenge calls for it - a girl of habit I guess!  So....I tried to adapt this easel and sketch to accomodate the Stamp Fairy Challenge - I'm thinking for a first try - not bad!  I'll definitely try a little different technique the next time!  I'm always up to learning new techniques - I have a dresser I'm working on for the right challenge!  It's so cute - and it was so simple - I'll figure out the right challenge for it ----stay tuned!

Ain't No Sunshine..

This is gonna' be a quick post - it's getting late!  I thought I'd make this clean and simple card - actually used my new nesties - yes, that's right - I bought another set.  They're kinda long so I modified it by cutting it shorter for the base image and the mat!  It was simple and it made it useable for this size card/image!  I added the saying and some metal - brads and bling!  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps.  They've got an incredible assortment - cute, silly, sarcastic, you name it!  The challenge is rain at Catch the Bug challenge.  The sketch is from Sketch Saturday!  I so wanna win those Sparkle Creations stamps!  You should check them out at Sparkle's site - Sparkle Creations Stamps!  Go check them out!  They're rubber and her shipping is reasonable!  Anyway - as usual - thanks for popping in!

I have two words - "MAN COLD"

Ok - have you seen the commercial where it says the medicine even works on the "man cold".  I think that is just hilarious.  The other day the hubby was sick and my daughter said - Mom - get him that medicine that works on the "man cold".  We both started busting up!  She is almost 12 years old and has the best sense of humor!  I love it - at least until she uses it on me - LOL!  Anyway - I combined the Meljens image "get well soon" - found here with the Phindy's image found here.  I thorght it was perfect all the way around.  Phindy's having a bloghop and their challenge is paper piecing - i'm not that great at it - but getting better!  The seat and ottoman are pieced!.  I do hope you like my card!  He will be great for the "man cold" victim!  And hey - go check out the bloghop at Phindy's Place Challenge Bloghop!

A Bug in a .......

Well, this is a Digital Delights image that I thought I'd paper piece!  I may have overdone the piecing aspect of the card! Go check them out - they almost always have a freebie for you to test drive - here's their sight - Digital Delights.  It's going out today for one of the Easter cards - with a small denomination gift card for a niece!  I'm trying to be better about giving the cards out!  What do you all do with your stockpile of cards?  I'm thinking etsy - if anyone has experience at it - let me know - the good, the bad and the ugly!

Anyway- I colored him/her (not sure what the bug is) with my Copics (of which I'm waiting on a small shipment right now).  I used my nesties and tried to keep this one simple!  I think he's cute and hope you like him -- next time less paper on the piecing - Live and Learn!

Thanks!

Well, I just love these stamps- I've become such a digi girl but these rubber stamps from Sparkle Creations are the bomb!  The details are awesome!  I stamped and colored her.  I decided to sew the card!  Sparkle sews, I think, all her cards!  She's incredibly talented and when I saw she was the sponsor at Sketch Saturday - I ran and got out the stamps!  I just did her challenge also!  That one I used my Josh!  He's just too cool!  and that's what I put "cool"!  I would definitely suggest you check out Sparkle Smith's Store.  Hey - let me know what you think!  I'm sure you'll fall in love with them!  Fun Stuff!

Well, I just love this guy and haven't made one with him in a long time - It's a Bugaboo image and you just gotta love him and the sarcasm!  It's so true - somethings you just gotta do and others well...the sentiment says it all!  I went a little crazy with layers so I decided I just have to enter this into Karen's Doodles - I'll definitely do one of her images also!  But I had to with 7 layers!  The rest is just masculine, a sketch and some laughter!  Try these challenges - it's too fun!

Caught a Bug?

Ok - Well, this week - I have a kinda "just do it" attitude!  I see a challenge - and I'm just doing it!  I try sometimes to think too much!  Trying to combine, yadda yadda!  So...today it's a couple of the "just do it" challenges.  This is the Pollycraft Monday!  It's a sketch and vintage!  I hope he's vintage enough?!?  I'm trying to make some more "male" cards!  I just seem to make the cutesy girl cards!  This is definitely a "male" card?!?!?  I have older clients which it seems are inevitably getting sick and I like to send them cards so....here we go - the 3 things I need - "get well, male and sympathy cards!"  The next one i'll try to complete is sympathy!

A picture can say it all!

I so love this digi from All That Scraps!  I used the butterfly on another challenge and this time I decided to use him and the little girl (forgot her name)!  Well, anyway - the challenge was to make a handmade flower so - I looked at the tutorials that they provided and chose to combine some punched flowers with the "lace sewn" flower!  I loved it - it was easy to do - I love when challenges make you learn new things - last time I learned how to make a watering can and I'm making them with treats for Easter for nieces and nephews!!  fun stuff!  I colored them with my copics (the usual culprits) some nesties for my mat and some K & Co paper!  Now hop on over to All That Scraps  and check out her fabulous stamps!  If you're into instant gratification - she has digis!  I'm all about the NOW!  Tee Hee!  Hope you enjoy and hope you get a new digi to play with!  Have fun!  I am!

Do Not Put off till TOMORROW....

I made the card without knowing what to put as a sentiment and....after looking through my Stampin Up stamps - Bam!  It hit me - right between the eyes!  That song to "live like you were dieing" is my new motto!  I'm not letting life pass me by!  This is great because in the song it says "suddenly going fishin was not such an imposition".  This is perfect - this is a simple post!  I don't have Simply Charmed cart so I used the Celebrate with Flourish cart!  I love that cart!  Anyway, thanks for giving it a peek!

Think Spring

Are these the cutest guys ever or what?  I loved coloring this image and I think the sentiment fits!  I was going to use problems are possiblities in disguise - but that's going on another card!  I used my usual culprits!  The paper is actually valentines but it works (at least I think so)  I'm trying to use all my older paper/pads and especially scraps!  Sometimes I break into the new stuff!  I also added a Martha Stewart butterfly punch with some string pearls!  I am happy with the way it came out!  I hope you enjoy it!  Thanks Faith for another great digi - Go try the progressive challenge here at Delightful Inspiration

Oops - Forgot about her!

I can't believe I forgot to post this card!  It's for Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge and I forgot to post it - I was so tickled with myself and the stitching that I did and poof!  This must've been a night when I was cranking out the cards and went to bed at 2AM and outta sight outta mind!  Anyway - I am loving the stitching thing!  This is one of the stamps I won on a couple challenges ago!  I'm having so much fun with it!  I hope you like it!  Thanks for popping in!!

Challenges

Free and Easy! And...use Ribbon and/or a Bow!

Ok - This is a challenge from my new Design Team at Amber's Crafts And Stuff.  The digi was a freebie from Whoopsi Daisy Digital Stamps.  You should check them out and submit an entry on both of these sites!  Go get your freebie from Whoopsi and enter it there and here - Just remember to used a ribbon/bow and make it free and easy!  Ironically, I cut the box out and the image was already printed - I thought - throw this stuff together - no stress - Free and Easy is what I'd call that!  i hope you enjoy!  I do like the way this box came out - it's almost like a pizza box I cut on my cricut with my Tags, Boxes, etc.  Unfortunately - this cart is discontinued but what a great cart!

Hippity Hop Hippity Hop!

Ok - my Cricut Imagine has been very lonely!  I've decided - I need to use it at least once a week!  So...I actually decided to participate in a couple of challenges with it!  My first card is the Cricut Imagination challenge - Easter!  It's pretty cool how simple it is to use - Now, I have the new Cricut Studio on line - I've downloaded it - I just need to get acquainted with it!  I'm a Design Studio Girl - I have the Gypsy I bot from a friend - I've yet to even turn it on!  Oh well!!  I'm such a creature of habit!  Anyway - I used the Nursery Tails and Freshly Picked for the sign!  Fun stuff!

Again - Happy Easter - Buggy Style!

Well, this is so many things - CUTE is the word to describe it!  I used a bunch of leftover scraps!  Remember that's my new QUEST!  Using scraps!  Obviously - we can't always but whenever possible!  This is all scraps - no new sheets pulled - YAY me!  The little Bugaboo digi is too cute- I actually think it was a freebie last week!  I buy so many - they give so many - it's hard to keep track - go check them out!!  There's still time to play in their challenge and they have a freebie every Friday!

This is Now - Spring Break!

There's something about an easy chair!  I'm not a big fan but do you know a man who isn't?!?!?  Especially with a cold drink - brewsky or otherwise!  This is a man's idea of Spring Break!  I made the card simple - You noticed - No designer paper - I thought it was gonna be hard to leave out the dp - but no problem!   Most men can appreciate talent but in cards - simple is the answer!  So..that it is!

Celebrate - Cricut Style!

What fun!  I do love my Cricut!  I used some Fiskars punched grass and a couple Martha Stewart butterflies but primarily - Cricut - eggs from Celebrate with Flouris hand cow is from Create a Critter.  Tacky Tuesday was "the cow", The egg from BBTB2, and the egg from Celebrate with Flourish!(use a lite cartridge).  The Moovelous stamp is from My Pink Stamper punnylicious!  She's the best - gotta get me some more of those sayings!

Happy Birthday! Gomensai!

Gomensai - Happy Birthday!  Too cute- this is one of the "Help Japan" fund raiser!  I thought it would be perfect for this challenge!  The package has some great digis!  It's fun to do your part!  It's like you are helping and yet you receive also!  I thought I'd use the "recipe" challenge!  2 DP, bow and 3 colors!  Well, I went basic - black, white and red!  I added some stickon bling and a few nesties, etc etc.  I do hope you like my card!  I have a friend that loves asian - this will be perfect for her bday coming up!  Thanks for happening by!

Happy Easter!

Is this the cutest little sketch or what??  I am still on my mission to use scraps!  Well, Tuesday night was "Stampin Up Party Night" so our club gets together and I always have a project - this month I used 12x12 sheets to do a "2-5-7-10 box" from SplitCoast so I had plenty of "scraps"!  Darn - I was doing so well - well....I'm back on the crusade.  I used 2 different design papers, 3 colors and a bow!    This is one of the cutest Pollycraft images!  You can check them out here - Pollycraft .  I think they're cute as can be!  Well, this is my card!  I'm happy with it and I hope you are as well!!

A Watering Can?!?!

I hope it's okay - I just used the little butterfly off of the image!  I blew him up a little!  I love the watering can template!  Too fun!  I put some chocolate and flowers in the can and it was filled!  I plan on making a few of these - I think they'd make great namecards like for a Dinner!  Too fun!!  I also have a baby shower I'm helping with - wouldn't that be cute!  Anyway- the challenge is Wednesdays Challenge and you're supposed to use a watering can!  Sometimes I use a cut or a digi but the template was oh so tempting!

A Beary Basket

Stamp Fairy had an Easter challenge using a basket.  I decided to cut a basket from my cricut and put my little bear in the basket!  I added some stringed pearls and 2 glittery butterflies and of course a sketch!  Fun!  I do like how this little guy came out!
