Fancy Fold it!

Well It's Time to be Thinking 'bout Pattie's Creations Challenge Blog!  The girls are at it again!  I was like a deer in headlights at first - Use a Fancy Fold!  Well, sometimes I think what! What !  What should I do - then I decided I wanted to do a "man card".  Well, this is Fisherman's Delight is about as "manly" as you can get!  (Well, at least I think so) so....I decided to use the shutter card!  They are so simple!  I love to put lotsa' stuff on mine!  I'm sure you could go simple - but that just ain't me!  Anyway, below you can see a couple of closer up pics!  I used my stash - some cricut cuts leftover from previous projects, a hammer from another  project and some tickets!  Oh - you can't see it but there's also a book!  The hammer and book are from Tiddlyinks!  I'm sure they won't mind!

Anyway, loving this card and it'll be fun to see what you come up with!  Show me what fold you decide to use!  and...here's the Splitcoast Stamper's Tutorial for the Shutter Card - Tri Shutter Card Tutorial!  Now get on over to Pattie's Creations and show us your stuff!  Oh! and check out what the team has conjured up - it's awesome - very inspiring!  and play with us!

Back to School

A super simple easy post for me tonight - This is the little teacher from Tiddlyinks.  I decided to participate in the Back to School Book marker challenge - I love making the book markers!  They are too fun!  This one was done with the tutorial (which I have down by heart) from Splitcoast Stampers corner bookmarker.  I used some diecuts and punches.  The border is a negative from a nestie borderability, the tag is from the new Stampin up punch and the flourishes are from Sizzix.  Very simple but I'm very happy with it!

Pardner!

This week the challenge at Tiddlyinks was "inspired by a nature movie".  I looked at the images I had and thought - one of my favorite little guys - Feivel - from American Tale - the first movie - the second movie is when "Feivel Goes West".
I think she is incredibly cute and the sentiment from my Old West cartridge is too cute - the boot is from Just Because Cards!  I thought I'd keep the negative from a nestie and a sizzix flourish - really simple.  The sketch is from The Ribbon Reel challenge #6.  The image is a Tiddlyinks image and you just gotta take a look - she's always coming up with new great images!

Birthday Bug Hugs

Well, the sketch challenge at A Gem of A Challenge was a challenge for me - for whatever reason, I've been shying away from sketch challenges- I'm gonna' dive back in!  I used an image from Pink Gem Designs (the little boy) and the log is from Tiddlyinks.  I used some random sticker bugs and a little dp for the back ground!  Pretty simple - the ticket is from Sgt Stamper - I don't know her website - She's got some great tickets and sentiments!  Anyway, I hope you enjoy my little boy card!

Well, 3 of my favorite digi image companies - Bugaboo, Meljens and Tiddlyinks .  I had one last teachers card to make for my daughter - tomorrow is her last day of the year.  No more school til August!  Yay - no more homework!  I'm doing 6th grade for the 3rd time.  You would think it would be a breeze by now - but NOPE!  So...I'm glad it's done!  Anyway- I combined all 3 companies digis and just love the way it came out with all it's implicity!  I thought about adding more but said - Juel - back away from the table!

A Gentlemen's Read

Well, I decided to make a young man/gentleman's Book marker.  Ok - guys don't always have to do the barbaric thing - they don't have to bend the corner of the page!  Let's try using a book markers other than  a napkin or piece of random paper!  let's be gentlemen, eh?  Anyway - I thought this mad hatter from Tiddlyinks was so cute - I printed another image but had him sitting there and thought - e's going on this page!  I used random scraps to make the book marker!  and cut the read out on my cricut from "a child's first year".  Real simple and I like it!

Spread Your Wings

This is my "stitching it up" for Tiddlyinks!  I'm really enjoying the sewing of the cards!  I used to sew a lot but haven't for quite some time!  My 25 year old sewing machine died some time ago!  and...it just didn't seem too important!  I borrowed a machine from my buddy and have enjoyed having it!  I used lotsa layers and nesties, punches, handmade flowers and....my imagine!

Missing You

The challenge was to use the Cuttlebug and make a card with a nestie/die cut shape.  I don't believe I've ever done it before - I enjoyed making it - I definitely will be doing another.   Look for 'em!  It was simple yet fun!  I cuttlebugged my folder also and added another cut on top with a nestie with the image tied and bow and Voila!  Fun Stuff - stayed up last night - grinding out cards/stuff!  This morning is coloring - Busy week coming up - figured if I wanna play in the challenges - gotta do it now!  Last week was nutzo for me and this week is shaping up the same!  Get the mojo on baby!

Within Us

The saying on this quoted vellum was perfect - "what lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to -What lies within us."  This little "hedgehog and ladybugs" are the perfect image - it's like he's telling them a "life lesson".  One that we should all know but need to understand.  When life gets tough we have to look within ourselves to get through things.  The road may be rocky but always worth the climb!
