Take me to the Beach!

Ok - the challenge at Digi's With Attitude is....where would you like to be??  I chose to use Beach Tween - I'd like to be at the beach.  Ok - when I lived there - I didn't wanna' be there but now that I don't - take me back!!!!  We're never happy, eh?  I think that's what keeps life interesting - we're always on the quest for something new!  That's my perception anyway.  I decided to make a little beach bag with the beach tween.  All teens seem to wanna' be laying around, doing either nothing or not much!!!  That's part of being a teen - so, kids get it out of your system now!  Tee Hee!! Anyway, I used the cricut - as always on Tag, Bags, Boxes and More to cut this little beach bag (purse).  I tied a bow and Bam!  She's on her way to the beach.  Hope you enjoy my post and go on over to Digi's with Attitude Blog and check out the design team's posts - they are definitely inspirational and then it's your turn to post at the website to win a digi! http://digiswithattitudechallenges.blogspot.com/ You'll have fun coloring - they are detailed, yet simple enough.  Enjoy and get going...Oh and don't forget to leave a comment and let me know what you're thinking -- even if it's about the teen in your life!!  Love to hear from you

Purse Mini Blog Hop!!

A Blog Hop with a Purse??  Fun stuff.  Purses are fun and making a little purse - for a birthday wish is even "fun-ner"!!   We are doing a blog hop and all you have to do is leave comment on the design teams blogs and you will be in the drawing for 3 purse images and a purse sentiment!  It's fun - give it a try - it's a mini-hop so it won't take you very long.  Don't forget you can go to the website and check them out and maybe purchase one at http://dzdoodles.com  So...on to the purse - I cut this little purse out on the Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge (now retired).  It's a simple cut and fun to give as a gift - put some candy, a piece of jewelry, whatever in it and no wrapping, no nothing.  A card and a gift all in one!!  Now...hop on over to see Valeries creation!!  and if you just got here to mine - start at the beginning - see the list below!!

A vintage touch  with a monochromatic twist.  I love purple.  I don't wear it - don't use it in my house...but i like it!  It's vintage and when I think vintage - i think pearls and lace.  This was a fun card because i used a new nestability and new digi from A Day for Daisies.  Too fun - oh!!  i forgot to say - got pearls on clearance at Michaels - $.49 for the sheet of pearls!!  Right on, eh??  Anyway - I hope you like it - i do!

Best Buds!

This little guy reminds me of old men fishing and sometimes fathers with their sons - either way - they usually are the best of buds....This was a masculine challenge with masculine colors and sketch in mind!  I love this little cut from A Child's Year.  They have the best silhouettes.  The metal embellishments were in my stash for quite some time and I've been dieing to use 'em.  Well..  I cuttle bugged the background/mats and made it very simple - no ink this time.

Challenges - Bitten by the Bug 2, Paper Sundaes, Stamp Fairy, Critter Sketch

A lollipop Fetish -

I just loved this digi image from Robyn's Fetish digital Stamps (http://robynsfetish.com/shop)  Is this the cutest digi or what?!!?? I used my new Martha Stewart punch for the around the mat - i couldn't really do just a bit bigger so i staggered them.  I so want the nesties like this!  It's black, white wit ha splash of color - I hope this qualifies - I was so happy to finally use this ribbon I bought forever ago!!  It's perfect on this card.  You outta' go to check out the design team at Lollipop Crafts!  http://lollipopcrafts.blogspot.com/  So remember it's black, white and a splash of color!!!  :  Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is happy to offer the winner of this challenge 5 digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 digital paper set of their choice!!   Have fun and show us what you got!!!

Feeling Green?

Sometimes I wonder what I'm thinking when I make my cards - this is basically a monochromatic card - Thinking green when someone is sick....the ole' green around the gills thingy!  And of course, the turtle is green so I ran with it - This Karen's Doodles digi is too cute- her challenge was to use an animal? get well cards is something I seem to never have enough of - mmmmm.....what does that tell ya'??  Anyway - i just enjoyed this card -

A Meljen bday

I decided to make this umbrella a birthday card - i think it's cute as can be - I used some bling on the label and the cheeks.  I was contemplating turning the umbrella straight up or caddy wampus!  As you can see - I stuck with caddy wampus - it's one of those things where you gotta just say - this is it!!  The debate in my mind was fierce!!  Tee Hee!!  Silly - it's just a card - but I like this digi from Meljens!  and I so love my new Spellbinders labels!  They are the cat's meow!!  Thanks again for popping in - gotta get my craft room cleaned up - having a baby shower tomorrow - which - i do have a card made.  My craft room is an open den like - so....I can leave it a disarray until I'm having people over - except for tonight - it's my bday today and I left it a mess - it's my bday and i'll make a mess if I want to - spent the whole day in my craft room!!  Then family for dinner and cake!!  What a day!

Challenges - Meljens

Paper Piercing - My first Time

This is my first attempt at paper piercing and I will say - "love it"!  It was fun and simple to do - the parts taht are pierced are obvious to me but probably not everyone else!  Her shirt, cup, steam headband and seat!  Too cute, eh?  I used a sketch challenge on it also - Anymore, it seems weird when I don't use a sketch challenge on something - silly, eh??  Anyway - I do love these stamps - I only have 2!  I hope I win - I'd love to have another - if not - i'll have to buy one- it's all good and fun!!

Challenges - Sparkles Creations, Sketch Saturday

A tribute to Miss Piggy

I so love this digi from Phindy's Place - it so reminds me of Miss Piggy - I had a couple challenges - Phindy's monochromatic (I'm so into those) along with animals, sketch, cartoons, etc.  I used some bling on the DCWV paper - the background has a pop of a bit of neutral brown and beige .... the rest is all the pink!!!  Think pink, eh???

Challenges - Phindy's Place, Critter Sketch, Raise the Bar,

It's The Peanuts Gang!!

The challenge was not a card and a cartoon inspiration.  Well, I believe this fits both those bills!  Now...don't forget I told you I was on a book marker kick!!  This is Madison's bookmarker (if you don't remember - that's my last child at home)  She went through my hundreds of digis and stamps and she chose Snoopy for her image.  I whipped this out pretty quickly and so loved him and the colors she chose.  A simple piece but she's in love with it and of course - that makes me happy!!  As always thanks for popping in!

A Different Fold

So - love this challenge - and love the images I ended up.  These stickers were from DCWV - and the digi from Bugaboo.  I love the swing fold card.  This is going to be a thank you card for my daughter's teacher.  At least one of them.  I love the subtle colors and love the little images - bookworm, little girl, etc.  I so hope you enjoy this card because I enjoyed doing it!

Challenges - Catch the Bug

This Sucks!

I'm always a bit hesitant to use something other than customary phrases - but I just this works "this sucks".  I tried to simulate a mess with all the trash.  I used my daughters dried up contact lense for a bottle - a cup with spilt "stuff, a candy, etc.  I so like the way it came out - I wasn't sure.  I iused a DCWV sheet with misc stuff cut out, a little cuttlebug on the bottom and flocking.  I'm happy.  I was somewhat blocked!  I love it when a challenge does that to you.  The challenge over at Digi's With Attutude was "show us your cleaning".  This Vacuum Tween is perfect.  I'm so in love with all the tweens they've come up with.  I'm also gonna try and get one of the males!  Aren't they just awesome.
Go check it out at: www.digiswithattitudechallenges.blogspot.com  Go see what the design team has come up with and see what your mojo does!!  Have fun!!

Peace

Ok - this was a last minute request.  Mom - I wanna make a card for Annie for her bday tomorrow - as she's getting ready for bed.  Oh, and I wanna make her a necklace.  So....  She designed the necklace (beautiful Zebra glass) and I strung it and I decided - fine but we're gonna do couple of challenges - so.. we combined a couple of challenges - she did the coloring and sentiment.  Too cute - this was colored by my 11 year old Madison - she does do some of my cards - I hope you enjoy our collaboration.

Raggedy Ann love

Is Peachy Keen the absolutely best or what???  I combined the stamps with PaperDoll Dress Up Doll and my imagine for the heart border and I'm loving this little girl - I wasn't sure of a sentiment and sometimes I just put one - but this time - I decided to hold off - the heart border i printed / cut was a bit long so the last heart I stuck in her hand.  Fun and Cute.  This weekend I'm hoping to be loving on my imagine!

Challenges - Peachy Keen, Flaunt it Friday and BBTB2

Simply White out!

This was a simple sketch and a color challenge - well, lack of color challenge -combined with a "special birthday" and anyone who has turned 40 - knows how special/difficult it can be - Well, I ended up pregnant for mine so - it was special and difficult and rolled into one!!  This was fun - I've embraced the monochromatic concept - and white is the most fun for me.  I used vellum on one of the mats - different whites and an ivory stamp pad to add some contract - a little color on the digi.  Fun stuff -

Challenges - Simply Betty, Stamp Fairy, Pollycraft Monday, Karber Weekly, and...Friday Sketchers

Thanks Big Time!

This is a sketch challenge over at DZ Doodles - http://deedledeedoodles.blogspot.com/  The sketch is simple but fun - it's all what you make of it - Go over there and check out the rest of the design team and what they've created.  I chose to go simple this time.  Sometimes simple is good.  This letter girl is thanking her daddy (I'm guessing - my card, my story) for the flowers he's gonna give her!  Here's the sketch:

What a great sketch our buddy Valerie has come up with.  She's got such talent.  Well, now show us your mojo.  Enter over at DZ Doodles!!  It's fun and you could win a digi!!!

It's a Lollipop Challenge - JLJ Designs

Lollipop Challenges have done it again - The design team has created some incredible crafts with the digis from JLJ Designs @ http://stitchybearstamps.com/shop/  The Stitchy Bear Stamps sight is awesome.  Head on over and find yourself a few fun digis.  I chose to use the Sugar Plum Fairy - hey - it's not just for Christmas - Fairies are all year!!  I used some making memories paper - I just love the softness.  The mats are my Nesties - I decided to fussy cut her out (that's my favorite)  I did have to use a little pink - you can't have a ballerina without pink!  I tied a simple bow and a little stitching.  Did you notice I put little stones and pearls inside the flowers?  I wanted a little subtle bling so I also added glitter to her wings - do you just love her or What?

Free & Easy! Bookmarker

Ok, Ok!!  I'm on a book mark kick!!  I've done 5 in one day and now my daughter wants 5 more for her teachers.  They are so quick and easy!!  This is a Whoopsi Daisy image - I made it for a good friends daughter.  She's an avid reader - but - i'll admit - she doesn't wanna use it cause she doesn't wanna smash the bow.  My daughter stuck hers in her book and closed it immediately - too funny!!  The tutorial is on Splitcoast by the Guru of all things cards - Beate.  Man, that girl is awesome.  She makes everything seem so simple and easily understood and duplicated!!  Anyway - thanks for stopping and being patient with my new obsession.

Have a heart!

This is a simple (kinda) card.  It's a fairy on a heart.   The sentiment is very subtle - Cherish.  I just love this paper from making memories and love the digis from Whoopsi.  The heart is from Indie Art on my Cricut - I love the simplicity and love the softness of the image - I hope you love her also.

Challenges - Whoopsi Daisy, A Gem of a Challenge, Charisma Cards, Sparkles Forum and Paper Sundaes

Soft or Heavy Metal?

Well, this is such a soft imagine and the challenge was "heavy metal" using one of A Day for Daisies images.  Well, if you're familiar with their images - they are anything but heavy!  They have such a soft look about them.  I cut the hearts with my cricut and the metal stones are random.  I used my copics and some metal twine and we're there.  This is my heavy metal????  I do like the way it came out - hope you do also!?!?

Challenge - A Day for Daisies, Saturday Sketch

The Magic Show!

I decided to participate in a scrapbook layout challenge at Amanda's Crafts.  Well, I need to figure out how to take the pictures of the larger images.  This is actually only one page of a 2 page layout - I'm a bit behind on my scrapping and this is for my daughters birthday last year.  We have a fantastic magician here in town and we loved his show.  So....the other page has his lovely assistant in her glittery dresses.  I used the peachy keen faces for both - I do like how this came out - can't wait til I get to those pages - in fact, this has inspired me to stop making cards today and scrap!!! Thanks ladies!

X Marks the spot!

I have wanted to make one of these for a while -- well, I decided to make this finally.  Wow - I used the tutorial on Split Coast!!  Wow - so incredibly easy!!  I so loved it - I'm not sure I'll post them - but I was on a roll after this one - I used the bugaboo image for this book mark.  This is for my mama and she's always been a seamstress, crocheter, etc.  I guess that's where I got the crafty thing from.  She used to do a lot of this stuff to make extra $ because she was a stay at home mom - but that's what most moms did in the 60's.  I had a good time making this - my mama is an avid reader and i believe she'll get a kick out of this!!

Challenge - Catch the Bug!,

Who Me?

I just love the mischievous look on her face!  The sentiment so fits her - I used the sketch from DZ Doodles their most recent challenge - the digi is also from DZ Doodles.  The fence is cut from my cricut and the paper is from Stampin with the Dragon.  Isn't she just too cute and so simple.

Challenges - BBTB2, DZ Doodles, Digital Tuesdays

Come on Baby Light My Fire

Come on Baby Light My Fire!!  Don't you just love this Tween!  The Challenge is "Puffy".  Show us your puffy!  She's another Digi's With Attitude! digi - I love her - I added some camping stickers from Stickopotamus!  Too fun!  I used digi paper from Stampin with The Dragon.  He's got the best papers - very manly but yet soft enough for a woman!! (sound like a commercial you know - tee hee!!)  I used some forest paper on the second mat cut from my nesties a little jute and a sentiment - just typed.  Oh - hey - used stickles and puffy paint for the fire!  Remember the challenge is - show us your puffy!!  Oh, and my s'more is flocking - I love my marshmallows burnt that's why I used charcoal gray instead of white flocking.  The darker the better.  Last summer my daughter made me a marshmallow and I shoved it in my mouth not noticing that there was still a burning "ember" on it - it sizzled when it hit my lip!!  Yikes - that hurt - now I check my marshmallows before I shove 'em in my mouth!!  Well....hey - go check out Digi's With Attitude blog for the challenge - http://digiswithattitudechallenges.blogspot.com/  And above all - make it fun!!!

Sisters

Of course, I had to make the taller the brunette and the shorter the blond - wondering why - I'm a bit taller and older than my little sister - and....she's a blond.  Too fun - I so loved this digi when I saw it - it was so cute and made me think of my sister.  Everyone should have a sister!!!  Mine is the best!  So...you can't have hers.  We are so different and yet so alike!  I love the color challenge that I followed and loosely the sketch -- added some buttons and Bam!!  A sisters TENT card!!!

Challenges - Claudia & Co, Kaboodles Doodles, Card Patterns and Tuesday Throwdown

True Love

True Love can come in the form of true friendship - A lot of people think of your companion (spouse, etc)  Well, my bestie is a true love for me - we'd do anything for each other.  This made me think of her - we love to spend time on the lake during the summer  - well, we use boats and neither one of us is quite that size - but it still made me think of her.  I just thought it was a fun digi from Karen's Doodles.  I hope you enjoy it - one of the challenges was to show true love without words - well, I think this does it!!  Again, as usual - thanks for popping in....

Challenges - Stampin Sisters, Karen's Doodles, Crafting with Deedee's Digis, Kaboodle

Be my Valentine

Well, we're coming down to the wire - but looking like I'm gonna have leftover valentines - I mean a girl can only send so many - you know what I mean.....This is the Tiddlyinks freebie - I just loved his simplicity.  I colored his flowers with my sakura embossing pens and the cricut cut of a rose behind him - sitting on rose paper - I wasn't sure - but i've decided - I'm liking him.  Thanks for popping by to see my lovey bear!

Well, this is my first challenge with Lollipop Crafts as a Design Team member!!  Challenge #25 - Anything but a CARD! Uh-huh, we all need a push from time to time to think outside the "card"! Say It With Roses

Bloom is one of the few "single phrases" that so makes me think of my kids!  They grow so fast and right in front of you.  It's scarey to turn around they're adults or going off to college.  It's fun every step of the way - I wouldn't trade it for the world!  They are expensive and frustrating but to watch them bloom - there is no better experience!!  Anyway, on to the card - I used a pixie dust digi along with my cricut (Hannah Montana cart) and my Martha Stewart punch, Stampin up and Nesties.  Wow - I used the whole cafeteria!

Challenges - Pixie Dust, Sketch Saturday (wow - right on top of that one!)

A Card Box!

Peachy Keen is so much fun!  It was supposed to be something to put cards in - I bot this $1 recipe box with Roosters on it to repurpose.  We are going to leave one as a recipe box but this one is a card box!!  It's the perfect size - I thought I'd make this one for my 11 year old daughter- she's made some cards and this way - she can keep track of friends birthdays and put the cards she makes in there.  This little girl on here is from Rock Princess.  Isn't she just too cute and so simple - I used a nestie combo for the mats - covered in zebra paper and used the coordinating paper for the mat.  I love her!  and what fun it'll be to fill up with cards.  I went to Michaels and bought a bunch of inexpensive boxes on clearance $.99 for $4 boxes - Whoo Hoo!!  I may run back tomorrow and get more!

Challenges - Peachy Keen

Love in the Morning

Love is coffee in the am and your sweetie!  I thought this digi from All That Scraps was so me!  I'm just not myself in the am without my coffee - it's why I get up in the am - it's all about the coffee!!  Then I can greet the rest of the world!!  I thought I'd just use a little cricut to help me along on this one - DCWV paper, hearts and the word love --- let's not forget nesties and copics!!  Hope you enjoy her - She is so who I am!

Challenges - Made by Momo, Mojo Monday, All That Scraps

Valentine B-day!

She is a special edition digi - it had 13 on it but I didn't want 13 on it - so I covered one 13 with a rhine stone and the other - i cut it out when i fussy cut her.  I used the Hannah Montana heart - kinda a diamond accent heart and used a sticker for the "it's your special day".  I love sentiment stickers - i don't use stickers too much any more - but I do love sentiment ones - so easy!!  I hope you like her- i just love her and know who'll get her for her bday!!  Thanks so much!  Check her out at Simply Betty - she has really fun digis!  I'm so into the instant gratification of digis!!

Challenges - Simply Betty, Friday Sketchers, Made by Momo

Support the Cause - Autism

It's so important to raise awareness in so many fields - Autism hits home - we have children in our close family that have it - so....this is what I have chosen - I love this little girl and I love the "puzzle" as the symbol for it - I cut some puzzle pieces from the cricut and the girl is holding one - the paper from DCWV says buds, friends, etc.  I just thought this was great!  I hope you enjoy the card and realize that Autism is out there and those children/people just need some understanding so they too can put together their puzzle in life!

Challenges - Fantabulous Cricut, Ladybug Crafts, 2 Sister in Christ, Tuesday Morning Sketch

Favorites!

These are a few of my favorite things!! Well, actually - now it's my kids skiing.  I love watching them - my 11 year old took over my skiis and the 22 and 25 year old snow board.  There's a surprise - Big 5 doesn't even sell skiis any more!  Weird, eh??  It's obvious the boards are taking over - it's like the boards vs. Jetskis, etc  I'm a boater - definitely i'm an old-skooler!  So - fun but simple card - i do love it - used the negative from a nestie and some misc dcwv pieces and my digi and BAM!  I love my copics and nesties and digis and.....well, I love it all I guess!!

Just a Wishin!

I was so lucky to get to participate in a brand new opening of a digi store - "Little Miss Muffet Designs is the newest digital stamp source on the web created by Barbara from Forgotten Scraps.  This little shoppe was inspired by a house full of Little Miss Muffets and arachnophobes alike. It was opened with a bit of luck and loads of encouragement from friends and fellow bloggers around the world.  Challenges and inspiration can be found on her personal blog at Forgotten Scraps and the 2nd challenge opened this week!  I hope you join me by playing along and checking her out!  This is just on of her amazing digis - Check it out!!

Alrighty then, let's get a little attitude with that valentine!  I decided to do a box for candy - well, I got a little carried away with the box and did "fit to size on my cricut!  This one can be for one of my kids!   It would be way to much for the kids at school or co-workers!  I used the Tween with Attitude from Digi's With Attitude.  She just keeps coming up with new digis!  It's fantastic.  I cut the box with Tags Bag Boxes and More Cartridge - talk about an oldie but goodie!  Then put in the acetate, tied a box and attached my digi.  I just the love the lips dp!  Thanks for popping in and go check out the challenge at Digi's With Attitude - !  Pink and White or Red and White- I went with Pink and White!!

Brrr......It's Cold Outside

It's cold outside but look at the amazing sky and see the stars!  I live in Tulare County which is known for the Tule fog, so when we can look outside regardless of the cold and can see stars - it's a good evening.  We don't get true seasons but we do get very cold weather and very hot during the summer.  I hope you enjoy this little bear out there checking out the stars - he's all bundled up in his blue and pink outfit - so .... girl or boy!!  Real men are in touch with that feminine side and it's ok to wear pink - Tee Hee!
Challenges - Pollycraft Monday, Claudia & Co, Cupcake Inspiration
This was a fun challenge - If you look below you will see the template to make this cute (what I would like to call -- a french fry container) candy holder for Valentines - Easter, whatever - it's up to your imagination - I can see a spider, a bunny, etc  Well, The image is below - right click and save it then I sized it to a full 8-1/2 x 11 sheet and printed it - cut it out and glued it together - simple.  I personally am a cricut fanatic (i have 3) but it's good to get back to the basics!!  I remember cutting everything out 10 years ago - Scissors were King!  Give it a try and then post it at DZ Doodles Blog!!  You could win  a digi!!  What have you got to lose - you'll enjoy and someone will be happy to get your treat!!
