Stryder's Masked Ranger

Isn't this just the cutest little Masked marauder?!?!?  I decided to make him on one layer!  My first attempt by the way?!?!?  Not bad....I added the Happy Halloween from Lyrical Letters cartridge for my Cricut!  I think he came out sweet as can be....when I first started coloring - I looked at the candy at his feet and thought - YIKES!  But not too bad and I am very happy with the simplicity of it!  This is a new "team" Stryder's and Sew Many Cards - they are trying to raise funds to help little Stryder out!!  You really should go check out the blog - and pick up an image or two!  There are some really fun images to chose from and as always - a freebie! Now go to Sew Many Cards and see what they have - grab an image and help out little Stryder- you can read about his journey also!  Above all, have people - this is what this is all about - FUN!

Smile - Critter Sketch Style

This is my submission for The Critter Sketch Design Team.  They are such an awesome teach it would be a great privilege to work with them.

This is the sketch we were given to follow -

I do hope they like my interpretation of this sketch!  I love this image from The Paper Shelter.  I think it's just cute as can be!  It's girly yet not!  I used the gears that I cut from my Cricut machine on the Robotz cartridge.  Anyway, here's my card!

Challenges

Happy Hallowed Eve

Just a quick post - There were a few challenges - 1st - Bugaboo (Catch the Bug) - paper piece with warm colors, 2nd - Bitten by the Bug - Halloween and add a stamp to your cricut card!  and 3rd - Well, can't remember what the third was ....anyway, this is Bugaboo's version of the wizard.  I think he's cute as can be - his cloak is paper pieced with Digital Delights digi-paper!  and...The cut is from Happy Hauntings n lyrical letter.  I love the glitter paper as the background - so definitley got the glitter and bling going on!  I love how his glasses came out with the diamond glaze.  Ok - I've had that stuff for at least a year and never used it and I've used it 6 times in the last 2 weekS!!!  What's up with that??

Celebrate

I so had fun with this one!  This week at Lollipop Crafts....the challenge is "recycle".  I always use pop tops, beer caps, ribbons - this time - I thought I'd change it up a bit and use a charm from my daughter's necklace that she broke - I'll be honest - it's been sitting in my craft room for over a year!  I just didn't have the heart to throw it away.  Well, today I'm glad I didn't throw it away!  I had the pop top out but then saw the charm!  It was the aha moment!  So...I made my little cat from my Cricut and Create a Critter - the face of course is from Peachy Keen stamps (medium critters) and the border from Fiskars!  I am happy with it - now run over to Lollipop Crafts and check out what's being recycled!  The design team is totally rockin' it this week (and every week actually - LOL)!!

Happy B-day!

Happy B-day! This week the challenge at Sassy Cheryl's is -   I just love this challenge - it's lavendar, green and white!  I used different shades of lavendar and a couple of the green!  I was a little thrown at first - but then grabbed the ball and ran!  I cut the sentiment on my cricut on Lyrical cart with the challenge colors.  The challenge at Fantabulous Cricut was happy birthday and I wanted to play along with it!  I so love the cricut challenges also!  Tomorrow is scrapping day = it was supposed to be all weekend - but....that didn't happen.  Anyway, I used a Sassy Cheryl's image  (some of my favs) and some cricut cuts - pretty simple but loving it!  The colors are too fab!

Anything but a Card - How about a little purse?

This is definitely one of my favorite cuts on my cricut and Tags, Bags, etc.  It's a little purse for a gift card, candy, money - whatever!  I love that cart!  i love the challenges that are "anything but a card".  It changes things up - I'm a scrapper at heart - but have become obsessed with cards!  This weekend is supposed to be a "scrap" weekend - let's see how that goes!  I used the little "petit pot girl".  She's a Just Some Lines image that you can purchase at the Just Some Lines Store.  and remember there are also lotsa freebies there to get you started!  Now, back to the challenge - "Anything but a card" challenge!  It's for 2 weeks and you could win some images from "Just Some Lines"  how fun is that!  Now go check out the challenge blog at Just Some Lines and see what the design team has come up with and show us what you come up with!  Now off with you!

Back to School

A super simple easy post for me tonight - This is the little teacher from Tiddlyinks.  I decided to participate in the Back to School Book marker challenge - I love making the book markers!  They are too fun!  This one was done with the tutorial (which I have down by heart) from Splitcoast Stampers corner bookmarker.  I used some diecuts and punches.  The border is a negative from a nestie borderability, the tag is from the new Stampin up punch and the flourishes are from Sizzix.  Very simple but I'm very happy with it!

Let it Snow!

Is he the cutest penguin or what?  I so thought he was too cute!  I am still trying to throw in a Christmas card now and again - my goal is at least 2 a week!  Anyway, this week at Sew Many Cards our challenge was/is - Edge Punches!  I was so gonna add more edge punches but after i put this one down - I thought - Juelmarie - step away from the punches - sometimes less is more!  I used my Martha Stewart punch along the bottom and had to tell myself - that was enough!  I get a little carried away!  I used some glitter paper i bought (but I will admit - cheap paper).  I had glitter everywhere!  It's beautiful paper - but what a glitterfest I had!  LOL.   anyway, I sew would love to see you join us this week at Sew many Cards Challenge Blog.  It's simple enough - just get out one of your millions of edge punchers and punch away!  Show us what you got! You can always run over to the Sew Many Cards Store and check it out - there are always freebies!  and.... If you're like me - you are probably obsessed with punches!  Every month at stamp club - I buy a punch!  I just can't help it!  It's like a cup of hot cocoa on a cold winters day - it makes me all warm inside - Tee Hee!  I know a little looney - but it's true!

Pattern Paper Mania

This week at Digital Delights challenge blog - Delightful Challenges we are challenging you to use "digital paper".  Wow, seems simple enough - Like most crafters - Paper is an obsession - well, if you think about it - if you have "digital paper" - you always have that paper - you don't have to run around to every store looking for it!  Bam!  I'm all over that!  Take up so little space in your craft room - you print it when you need it!  This may be a new obsession with me!  LOL!  Anyway, I used the Stripes and Spots digital paper pack for my card.  The image is Ellie the elephant and the sentiment is from the circus sentiment pack!  Now the stars are creative memories and the border - EK Success, the mats - Cricut!  Wow - is there a machine in my craft room I didn't use??  Now, don't waste any time and run over to Delightful Challenges and check out the design team's creations!  WOW!!!  is the best word to describe it!  and then go for it!  Print out some DP and make a project for our challenge!  and remember you could win:

Don't wait any longer - time is ticking away!   Come play with us!

Get Well Soon

I finally got it together to enter the A Gem of A Challenge this week - the sketch was :

and I had fun doing it!  I had printed my image some time ago - just couldn't seem to nail it!   Well, I feel like I nailed it this week!  Cool -  I also used my cuttle bug label folder that cuts and embosses in the same folder!  The sentiment is actually from Bugaboo and the image is from Pink Gem Designs.  I had printed it and then couldn't remember whose image it was - Yikes!  I remembered and waited for the right challenge!  Boom shaka laka!  Anyway, it's almost midnight - gotta get to bed - we (my 12 year old and I) just finished our homework!  LOL - I'm in the 7th grade again!  I also helped my little niece this evening do a project with my cricut for her class!  It's cool!  i love helping!
