This week at Christmas Card Challenge - it's a sketch!!

 

Now - it's always your job to interpret this sketch - we'd like to see what you think and what your ideas are on this sketch!  I decided to change it up a bit!  But I've always gotta be the rebel - LOL!!  Anyway, this week I chose to use Phindy's image and I paperpieced and fussy cut her!

Oh Baby Baby!

Just thought I'd do a quick Phindy's Place Challenge!  The only thing is - USE A PHINDY image!  I figured - no pressure, eh??  I used scraps to make this - the mats are cut with my nesties on my cuttlebug (scraps in the blue bin), a piece of scrap dp and a scrap of the blue again for the trim.  Now the blue gingham - not a scrap - but in the bargain bin at Joanns!  Tee Hee!  Thanks so much for popping in -

Too fun!  I decided to do an scalloped easel card!  I've never done one - this one is small - my nesties wouldn't cut bigger than 4".  Next time I'll try it on my Cricut!  Anyway, I used the Phindy's image that you can find in her awesome store - here.  Remember when you're there to look for Random surprises - she's always got something cooking!  Anyway, I love her mice images - I don't know if you remember the mouse in the champagne glass - love him!!!  That was my first one ever!!  Anyway -I used my nestabilities and my Stampin up punches to make these scallops - I'm liking it - I'll be making more of these round easel cards - Right on!!  Anyway- I folored the sketch from Mojo Monday.  Just a quick post!!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Well, Phindy's Place Challenge is all about the sketch!  I like sketch challenges but have not been doing them!  So....I love Phindy's images - I decided to use this little Pie girl (never remember their names) for the challenge!  You can find her at Phindy's Place.  She's always got such a variety and always a "Surprise" for you!  You need to go to her store and check out the "random surprise" link!  Anyway, I used my Fiskars around the page punch and Petaloo flowers for this simple yet loving it sketch! Hey - just notice - No dp!  Wow - I don't usually do that!  I'll be looking for some other challenges for that - LOL!

Christmas in May

I thought I'd do a simple card!  I know I said I'd keep up on my Christmas cards - but that died out in February!  I just got "burnt"!  So...at first, I thought- No thanks!  Then I said - Do it!  So....I bought a new digi because that makes it more fun and then made this simple card!  I had the flourish already cut and the Christmas Stack from DCWV is small enough to keep around all seasons!  So....I made a Christmas card in May - Yay me!  You can find the image here at Phindy's Images .  And don't forget to check out her Random Surprises!

I have two words - "MAN COLD"

Ok - have you seen the commercial where it says the medicine even works on the "man cold".  I think that is just hilarious.  The other day the hubby was sick and my daughter said - Mom - get him that medicine that works on the "man cold".  We both started busting up!  She is almost 12 years old and has the best sense of humor!  I love it - at least until she uses it on me - LOL!  Anyway - I combined the Meljens image "get well soon" - found here with the Phindy's image found here.  I thorght it was perfect all the way around.  Phindy's having a bloghop and their challenge is paper piecing - i'm not that great at it - but getting better!  The seat and ottoman are pieced!.  I do hope you like my card!  He will be great for the "man cold" victim!  And hey - go check out the bloghop at Phindy's Place Challenge Bloghop!

It's all about the chicks!

This was all about the humor - this little chickie is making sure you know - Easter should be about the chickens cause one of the big events is the egg hunt and as we all know - bunnies don't lay eggs!??!?  So why do we hide eggs if the bunny is the icon (for the commercialization part of it anyway).  There's always gotta be a little of that - it's fun!  It makes the children see things differently or I guess you could say - it makes us adults see things through the child's eyes!  That's what keeps us young!

Kleenex Anyone?

I have been wanting to make a kleenex box - a lot easier than I thought!  I made the box and had been waiting for the right image/challenge!  Phindy's Place - YAY!  It's a summer image and love this little girl - I just bot her this week - Perfection.  Anyway - I loved making it and am happy with how it turned out!  It's on Splitcoast - then again almost everything is on there - tutorials rock!  I added a big gingham bow and I'm ready to go!

Oh Baby

Oh baby! What does this remind you - the season is Spring and that means new life - in nature and in our lives!  I just loved this little image- and typical of my personality - I like a technique or challenge - and I run with it!  Notice the dress and the baby carriage - and no - i don't draw gingham!  I paper pierced again and i used a charm again - the charm on the bow says "baby".  I used my nesties, copics and Stampin up Stamp set - Warm Words.  I used the sakura pens for the flowers - i love the embossed pens - it gives some dimension and shine.

A tribute to Miss Piggy

I so love this digi from Phindy's Place - it so reminds me of Miss Piggy - I had a couple challenges - Phindy's monochromatic (I'm so into those) along with animals, sketch, cartoons, etc.  I used some bling on the DCWV paper - the background has a pop of a bit of neutral brown and beige .... the rest is all the pink!!!  Think pink, eh???

A Love for Phindy's

Phindy's did a sketch challenge this time - this is not their norm.  So fun to color this digi - i made it all about the hearts - all about the pink and red.  By the time Valentines is done - i will be so over pink and red.  Kinda' like Christmas ,eh?  Anyway -i used a little DCWV and also used it for the sentiment on a modern label from Stampin UP!  Cuttlebugged, a little of it all - a lot of bling and voile!  Simple and quick post - I will say this fussy cut card wasn't that simple but I enjoyed it!  Thanks

Music is the heart of our soul!

Love is the root of all music!  Especially country - sometimes it's heart wrenching and sometimes it's heart lifting.  This guy has his boots on and they are cutting the rug!!  I distressed the cuts with my cuttlebug and Stampin up ink.  This couple is just so cute!!!  I so love 'em.

Thanks for the Kleenex he's saying - I also used all scraps (except the card base).  I went to the scrap file and I can't even remember what these were from - the background which is floral is old, old paper I got on clearance probably 5-10 years ago - so who knows the brand, the orange, not so old - but all scraps!!  I like it - I love using them - it makes me feel less like a "Craft Hoarder".  Ok - I know a lot of you ladies do the same thing - if it looks like we can cut something out of it - it goes in the file!!  I've thrown a scrap away and rethought it and got it back out - Yikes!!!

This little Piggy Went to ....The Emmys!!  She's all dressed up - I guess you can put lipstick on that pig!!  My sister is law is so into pigs for a zillion years and I saw this (by the way she's as skinny as a rail!) and thought of her!!  So - her birthday's in January - I'm ready- gonna make her a necklace or a little something and we're off and runnning!!  I did the 3 birds with one stone - challenge baby challenge!!!
