Americana over at Amber's Crafts and Stuff!!

Well, it's that time again - it's time for another challenge over at
The challenge this week is "RED<WHITE<BLUE"  Well, that should be easy enough!  We are very lucky to have a sponsor this week - one of my favs - Pattie's Creations.  She has offered us this awesome image of cowgirl boots to work with - if a cowboy ain't Americana, well, doggone it - I don't know what is!!  This so reminds me of summer time and the celebration of our country's birthday and just loads and loads of good "kickin it" fun! The prize this week is 3 images of your choice!  Now you can use any image to play but if you head on over to Pattie's - she's always got a freebie to get you started!  Now come on - take a look at what I've created and go to Amber's Crafts and Stuff to see what the Design Team has conjured up!!

A Gentlemen's Read

Well, I decided to make a young man/gentleman's Book marker.  Ok - guys don't always have to do the barbaric thing - they don't have to bend the corner of the page!  Let's try using a book markers other than  a napkin or piece of random paper!  let's be gentlemen, eh?  Anyway - I thought this mad hatter from Tiddlyinks was so cute - I printed another image but had him sitting there and thought - e's going on this page!  I used random scraps to make the book marker!  and cut the read out on my cricut from "a child's first year".  Real simple and I like it!

Enjoy!

Well....I wasn't so sure I was gonna join the Cricut Challenge - but I decided to give it a whirl!  This image is from Whoopsi Daisy - the challenge was Easter, I combined it with a thank you of sorts with blue white and yellow from Cricut Cardz.  There's nothing more fun than saying thank you with a little something.  This is the 2/5/7/10 box from Splitcoast (there I go again).  We also needed to add a border from the cricut - I linked up daisies - thought it worked, eh??  The enjoy is a $.50 cent stamp from the dollar bin at Target and a Stampin up punch!  A little bling in the border and Man - this is so ready for something something inside to someone!!

Read!

This is another bookmarker.  This time the challenge was to make one using an element from your cricut.  I used my A child's Year Cartridge.  The read diecut is from A Child's Year.  Too cute - I'm so loving the book markers!  I find them a blast to make - simple, quick and a fun gift!  Boy - have I been missing the boat!  They always seems so involved and yet - here I am cranking them out!  I'll probably have to switch to bags, boxes or purses soon!  Tee Hee!  Well, hope you enjoy - I used a couple of digis - one from Some Odd Girl and the other from TiddlyInks  Leave me a comment n tell me what you think!
