Another Red, White Blue w/Ribbon Recipe

Well, this was a really fun card to make - I used a red/white and blue combo with a birthday celebration theme......I love this "ticket".  Well, I love tickets period!!!  I tried to make it colorful without taking away from the red, white and blue.  I sewed down the middle of my ribbon to tie it in!  Just a quick post because Blogger wasn't cooperating last night and gotta head off to work!  This is one of the cutest "Bugaboo".  I love the challenge Catch the Bug Challenge.

The theme of this hop is CELEBRATIONS!! At Digital Delights by Louby Loo, we are celebrating the new store! Wendy (aka Louby Loo) just completed the move to a new and improved store! Cool!

Tickled Pink - this time it's not so tickled and not so pink!  I used the teals/blues family with a little ticket!  This guy is so melancholy looking - but is seriously into this music thing!  So...what he's trying to say is "you make my heart sing"!  I used Recollections paperwork, EK Success punch to make a border and some ribbon and pearls!  The challenge this week at Tickled Pink is a sketch.  I really liked the sketch - it was simple enough to be interesting and I could use my supplies here to make it! I'm just going to town with my Creative Memories cutter - i don't have my beloved cuttlebug and thought i'd be lost!  Well, I kinda' am but making do with what I have at hand!  Hope you like this one - He's definitely COOL!

This is a white lunch bag that was in my stash I took to the hospital - I've overloaded on cards and thought I'd use the bag - I normally like to make them but thought i'd use the white lunch bag!  I cut a square with the scraps from one of the other projects and had the BRF bring in the letter stickers from home - well, these are rubons!  I had to add a tag - i'm in that mode (and I have them in the hospital stash, LOL)  Boy, I'm so ready to be home with my baby!  I was not sure when I first started this but love the color combo!  Well TTFN!

Mo's got some of the cutest digis!  She's a new company for me and I'm enjoying it!  I decided to make this shaped card with my Creative Memories cutting system.  I'm still in Children's Hospital in Fresno with my little one and thought I'd add this to the collection I've been cranking out!  I haven't had internet access to anything but emails until now - I'm connecting to the BF's Droid for internet!  It's a bit slow but it's working!  I cut the base with the larger cutter and the pattern paper with the next size down - simple!  The oval cutter was used on the image that I colored with my copics and added a tag onto the card - it says home!  This girlie is ready to cook at home with her momma!  My little one and I have recently started that- it helps to get her to eat different things - She's picking the recipes!  Fun, eh??

Fabulous

Well, i've not been able to use blogger in the children's hospital!  So...I gotta post a couple things while i'm using my phone for the internet! I decided to make a gatefold card!  I haven't done this in the past - I used a large tag, bows, ribbons, and misc.   I do love how he came out!  I hope you do also!  Just a quick post!

Possibilities

Love, love, love Elisabeth Bell's images!  They are just too cute.  I decided to make this soft and a twisted easel card!  I coloredthis images with Copics and Sakura pens!  I find it easier to color in the flowers with the glaze pens because then it's easier to color it and not have to worry about trying to color around the flowers!  They are so tiny - love the details but they are more difficult to color with just copics - so, I guess you can say - I cheated!  Yea, that's right - I cheated!  I used my Sakura pens!  I love those - not as much as my copics - but do love 'em and use them regularly!  They are a staple!  Thanks for popping in and I'm off to see what other challenge I can conquer!  I'm off to a new quest!

Challenges

You Amaze Me!

You Amaze Me in Pink and Aqua!   Tee Hee!  I thought I'd make an Inky Impressions Stamp Card for their challenge!  Their stamps are irresistible!  They are rubber and cute as ever!  I'm entering this card in their challenge of Pink and Aqua here at Inky Impressions Challenge.  Their stamps are juswt too cute!  Everyone of their entries rocks!  I decided to bling it out also!  I used this vine made from the stones!  Isn't it just exquisite!???  Being confined in the hospital with my small stash has made me think outside the box - so I thought - let's use a card fold that I don't know that I've ever used before!  This one has the two sides as steps!  I like it - I've already cut another for another challenge - Tee Hee!  I'm always like that and do something a few times until I move on!  Oh well, I hope yu enjoy my card - it's pretty smple but I'm very pleased with how it came out!

Thoughts of You

I'm so loving these Just Some Lines .  No challenge today - just a post!  I love these images and i love my Cuttlebug embossing/die cut folders for labels!  Look how great the yellow is on the embossed portion of this label!  I added some paper that I thought matched well from my hospital work station!  I need to think of a name for my craft station set up in the corner of this room!  Hmmm....  I don't wanna explain every time!  Well, whatever- anyway - go check out the store - jehanne has some freebies for you try out and I know you'll be hooked!  They are simple enough, yet detailed enough to be fun!  The saying is from Just Some Lines also!  Go on now - go check them out!!!

Challenges

You are the Best!

Loving this image from Pattie's Creations.  This week's challenge at Crafty Creations is "Just Imagine".  It was supposed to be my week to host but I'm still in the hospital with my little one!  Doing much better but still here - anyway - Go check them out and see the mojo the design team has come up with!!  I though I did pretty well for my limited supplies in the hospital!  Anyway, the prize this week is 3 images from Pattie's creations!  I just love her Pattie Boop.  She's too cute - I love the indian princess and the cowboy!  I've used a number of them - you'll definitely be hooked - so come on - give it a go - you could win those images!  What have you got to lose - TRY IT!!   Now remember you only have until next Tuesday to get your project loaded - it can be any image - just use your imagination and get started!

The Cook!

Well, it's time for another Delightful Challenge.  This is one of the new BBQ guys Grillin' George - is he the best or what??  Well, all the men in our family cook - well, almost all of them.  My ex is a cook and loves recipes - loves the bbq, etc.  So....I thought why not make him a recipe file box!  Funny thing is we're still camped out in the hospital - I had my images and some paper - but no box!   Well, i went to the nurses station and asked for a box I could repurpose!  They were so sweet - they've been watching me make stuff so they all sat there rummaging through stuff!  There was a male nurse training and he said hey - I saw some boxes in the storage room!  He came back with a brand new 3x5 card box - Wow!  They were all tickled to see what I was making!  Talk about trying to make the best of a yuck situation!  Thankfully, my daughter is doing better - we just can't get the white blood cell count down - so we're still here and going to try something different today!!  Here is the front side view of the box!  I covered the whole bottom -
Now head on over to the Delightful Challenge site and check out the Design Teams incredible mojo!  and then off you go to check out all the images available at Digital Delights.  They've got some great images for you to work with!  It's father's day Sunday - so don't delay!!  And It's anything Goes this week so grab a freebie at Digital Delights and get started - you have until next Tuesday evening to get your project loaded!  You could be the next lucky winner!  Come on and Play!!

Wish

Is this little one the cutest image or what??  I love Karen's Doodles - she's got the best images!  First of all - go check 'em out here .  He's just adorable - I decided to use him for this challenge for a number of reasons!  He is one of the digis I printed and had in my stash, hence he's in my arsenal in the hospital room.  A bit limited but it's great because I've got so many printed!  I used scraps for the mats and cut the punched label in half with brads!  The Karen's Doodles Challenge Blog is "FRAME IT"  I thought I'd frame it in a couple ways - with a matting, and I pierced the mat - that's a double frame in my opinion - LOL!  I used a flourish and a ticket and done!  I love how my coloring came out - Maybe my daughter is right - I must like blue and green best - I noticed I have a tendency to use it a bunch!!

Challenges

Yee Haw

Well, I decided i had to use my little piggy for this challenge - but not a card!  I'm still bunkered down in the hospital with my little one so....here goes....I guess it's a good thing I had all these images printed!  I'm definitely using all the images I've printed and then just sat aside - sometimes - I print too many and then collect them - so when I gathered up stuff to keep me busy - I grabbed the little storage container with all the images printed!  I don't have my cuttlebug so I'm limited in how I use them.  I brought my Creative Memories cutting system.  So....Here is it - my book marker made with my Stamp Fairy image - you can purchase them at their store - Stamp Fairy Stamps.  I had cut some fourishes in basic colors and fussy cut my image and then used the box of paper I brought - and I'm happy with him!  I hope you all enjoy and appreciate the McGyver type crafting I'm doing!  Makes me realize I have a lot of stuff i don't really need.
Challenges

Dream Big

Here I go again with my Kenny K's images.  This one was a freebie - last month?  Oh, trust me - I have many - but they offer a freebie once a month - i snag them but they have me addicted!  I get them pretty regularly!  Well, the challenge at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz is use your favorite color!  I'm still in the hospital with my youngest - so I turned to her and said - Madi - what do you think is my favorite color??  She said blue and green - So....here it is blue and green!   Remember I'm limited in my supplies!  I have a little station set up in the corner of her hospital room!  Gotta keep my sanity!  She gets it!  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Gotta run!

Super Dad

Well, this is my version of a Super Dad box - it's one of those 2/5/7/10 boxes from SplitCoast Stampers!  I made it really simple!  As you see on a previous post - my little one had emergency surgery friday late and I'm at the hospital 24/7 - The hospital in our area encourages strongly that you stay with the child so they a provide private roomso that you can spend the night - Well, I've monopolized the table and chairs in the corner - I brought my Creative Memories giant tote of stuff!  Definitely not my regular arsenal but I'm good!  I've gotta stay busy!  But simplicity is all I have here!  I will admit I'm happy with this so I hope you all like it!  I just love making "stuff" other than cards!  I'm trying to remember some of the directions!  Thanks as usual for popping in and remember to drop a little prayer for my baby - Madison (well, she just turned 12 this week - but she's my baby)!

Hello Everyone!

I've been absent for a very good reason.  My youngest wasn't feeling well last week - stomach flu (we thought)  Friday she was doubled over - I ran her to urgent care - finally figured it out - Her appendix has burst (not sure when)  I've been in the hospital with her - it was a mess they said - she's on the road to recovery - it'll be a bit -

As any true crafter to keep busy - I left the hospital for an hour on Saturday and got a "carry-all" with stuff!  I've got to stay busy - I've been reading a book (which i finished) and I have made some things - they will be simple as I don't have everything - but don't give up on me - hopefully, I'll get some things posted this evening or tomorrow!

Any prayers would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks and everyone take care!  I will be back!
