Dog Days of Summer

 What better way to cool off during those dog days of summer but - my favorite - WATERMELON!  This is Lilli the Skunk sitting on her watermelon with flowers surrounding her!  She's holding a little butterfly - all the icons of summer!  Too fun!  Too cute!  This week our challenge at Delight Challenges is "DOG DAYS OF SUMMER"  This is what I think of during the summer!  show us what you think of!! It's Summer Time!

Well, I'm not sure what might be better than laying back on the beach with a nice cold drink, a cool umbrella and beautiful skies above!  This is this week's challenge for Delightful Challenges is Summer time!  I used Laid Back Lucy for this challenge!  I didn't put a sentiment because sometimes I like to just let my image do the talking.  You can get this and many other images from Digital Delights at their store Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  Their images range in all sorts of events, seasons, and whatever you could desire.  Now go check out the mojo going at the Delightful Challenges design team!  They are really hot, hot hot!  *wink, wink**  This outta get you going and remember they always have a freebie to get you started!! now show us what you got!!!

The Cook!

Well, it's time for another Delightful Challenge.  This is one of the new BBQ guys Grillin' George - is he the best or what??  Well, all the men in our family cook - well, almost all of them.  My ex is a cook and loves recipes - loves the bbq, etc.  So....I thought why not make him a recipe file box!  Funny thing is we're still camped out in the hospital - I had my images and some paper - but no box!   Well, i went to the nurses station and asked for a box I could repurpose!  They were so sweet - they've been watching me make stuff so they all sat there rummaging through stuff!  There was a male nurse training and he said hey - I saw some boxes in the storage room!  He came back with a brand new 3x5 card box - Wow!  They were all tickled to see what I was making!  Talk about trying to make the best of a yuck situation!  Thankfully, my daughter is doing better - we just can't get the white blood cell count down - so we're still here and going to try something different today!!  Here is the front side view of the box!  I covered the whole bottom -

Delightful Challenge!!

Well, everyone - this is my first week/challenge at Delightful Challenges.  It's a Father's Day challenge! Now, it's coming right around the corner - so....don't wait til the last second!  Come have fun with us!  There's a freebie at Digital Delights.  I colored my image with my copics and used my cricut for the palm tree! Of course, I added some flourishes from my favs - Sizzix in different colors of green!  The paper is from the animal collection from Recollections!  and of course my Monkey and the sentiment are from our ever so awesome Digital Delights.  They are in the middle or revamping the store - it's gonna be ubber awesome!  I can't wait!  I'm a newbie here at Delightful Challenges and having a great time!  Now go check out the Delightful Challenges and see what the Design team has come up with - man are they talented!  It's perfectly cool to create your own or CASE one!  Either way - go check 'em out!

Pinch Me!

Ok - whoever came up with the "pinch" if you don't wear green - please step forward!  I loved this challenge - I'm such a green person.  I've had my bedroom green the last two houses!  In fact, these colors are very similar to my bedroom (minus the kelly greens).  Well, I decided to use my cricut clovers from Indie Art and image from Digital Delights.  You can find his digis here - Delightful Challenges.  I used some DCWV paper for my sentiment from the Spring pack.  I hope you enjoy him - I do and am dieing to send him out today!
