Quilts of our Lives

Tiddlyinks is having a challenge - yay them!  Yay us!!  It's about the LOVE, so I decided to make this card!  I'm trying so hard to use "stuff" I've had printed, cut or stashed!  It's really starting to pile up (I know you all can relate!)  It just seems to be the way with us crafters!  So....I had printed this Tiddlyinks sentiment on their paper and with the sewing machine.  I just bought the "Katrina" image.  Well, you know I couldn't just use scraps!  Anyway, the flourishes are scraps (actually one is a negative from a cricut cutout of the Eiffel tower).  So...this is what I feel is love - I believe this sentiment says it all!  Anyway, thanks for popping in!!

I made it vintage!  The pimped out suit is "paper pieced" and so are the suitcases, cool, eh??  This week at Lollipop Crafts Challenge Blog it's anything goes!  So....I decided to combine this challenge with the Tiddlyinks folks!  So....check ou the Lollipop Crafts Challenge Blog and hop over to Tiddlyinks also and check out the color challenge!

You are berry sweet!

I thought I'd do a quick inchie!  I made the little purse a while ago and printed the berry - I thought it would be cute with a little candy for a simple thank you type gift!  Tiddlyinks had a challenge - use "inchies" and it intrigued me - given more time I think I'll do another one - whatever the next challenge is - I will try to incorporate "inchies!"

Read!

This is another bookmarker.  This time the challenge was to make one using an element from your cricut.  I used my A child's Year Cartridge.  The read diecut is from A Child's Year.  Too cute - I'm so loving the book markers!  I find them a blast to make - simple, quick and a fun gift!  Boy - have I been missing the boat!  They always seems so involved and yet - here I am cranking them out!  I'll probably have to switch to bags, boxes or purses soon!  Tee Hee!  Well, hope you enjoy - I used a couple of digis - one from Some Odd Girl and the other from TiddlyInks  Leave me a comment n tell me what you think!

Just Be Yourself!

So, the question is....is this me?  Well, I do have curly hair (although it's dark w/gray highlights).  I am a very casual person.  I love cupcakes....I love people.....I love a lot of things.  I am definitely a girl.  So...for the most part - this is me!  I thought she was cute and felt like I could relate to her --  I decided to incorporate a couple other challenges by using colors, lace, pearls, etc.  I hope you enjoy this casual, curly haired, life loving girl!

Think White!

Think White - Well - we could use a little color on the digi but i chose to use very little - it sounds simple but it's amazing how hard it is not to add color!  I tried to add some interest and texture by using the cuttlebug, glitter paper, white pearls and white ribbon and a MS border punch!  A little Tag and voile!

Happy New Year's Baby!

Auld Lang Syne is what I think of when I think of the new Years- This song is so traditional at that time.  This little baby is from Tiddlyinks!!  I dressed him up with a black and white polka dot tie. The mini pearls are Recollections pearls - I love them in a row - just peel them and put them down - Quick and Easy!  The music notes are the music - I thought he was too cute- I love the digi and Tiddly Inks gave it away as a freebie last week - a Christmas Gift!!  fun, huh?

Tiddlyinks Come a Carolling!! Fa La La La La!!!!

This little girl reminds me of my daughter when she's signing - she always does the "jazz hands" for the effect!!  This is little girl is singing her heart out about the upcoming Chirstmas!!!  The notes are below - a bit "askew" but she's trying to keep in key!!  Fun stuff - I decided to tackle this challenge last minute.  I had printed out this digi and said ok - what the heck - one more before I go to bed.  So much to do to get ready for Christmas and all I can think of is "playing"!!!! Ok - tomorrow I buckle down and get stuff done!
