Autumn

It used to be Autumn only meant the time of year but 13 years ago my brother named his daughter "Autumn".  So....now Autumn is also my niece.  I love this time of year and ironically - - Autumn's mother's favorite holiday/season is Halloween!  So....how funny is that?  I decided to take this opportunity to honor my dear niece Autumn with this post!

I am very happy with this combo - these are two different images that you can find here - Just Some Lines Store.  I thought they went well together!  I made it simple - My life isn't so simple right now - I need simplicity somewhere!!  Anyway, I do hope you go check out the Just Some Lines images - I do know - yes I said KNOW - you will love 'em!  Have fun and let me know what you think!?!?!

It's Challenge Time again at Christmas Card Challenges and this week it's:

I love that color combo!  I decided to use one of Sparkles stamps this week!  She has some great rubber stamps - go check them out at her store - Sparkles Creations Rubber Stamps.  I used my cuttlebug and nesties to make the chocolate mat and the paper has all my colors in it!  I used the Cloud 9 holiday pack that I got on clearance at Michaels/Joanns - can't remember which!  It's real thick cardstock so fun to work with!  the bow is cream with a creamy button and the sentiment is random (can't remember where I got it - digital)  Anyway, now it's your turn to give it a try - hop on over to Christmas Card Challenges and submit your entry - you could be our lucky winner -

Some Odd Girl challenge this week - Thank you!  i just got this paper at Joanns on major clearance - Cloud Nine designs - 48 sheets - $$4.  Can you believe it!  It's got glitter and foil!!  Anyway - this is a Some Odd Girl image and the challenge is Some Odd Girl Stamps Blog Challenge.  i decided to use the center step card!   I decided to cut Thank You from the cricut (well I actually cut it probably 2 months ago - sitting in my stash) and the notes are from Lyrical letters!  It's a pretty simple card - but I'm happy with it!

Boy am I on a Christmas Card roll!!  The challenge at Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps  is "Christmas in July"!  There's a lot of that going on!!  I'm up to about 20 cards - I need over 100 so - it's a small dent but the middle of July - so I'm good!!  Go check out Sparkles blog - she's got the best rubber stamps - deeply etched - I'm enjoying them and....she's got a great sale this month!!  I'm going to get a couple more before the month's over!  Her shipping is reasonable also!!

Happy Father's Day

Well, it's time for another challenge over at Amber's Crafts and Stuff.  Make a fathers day/manly card!  Come on - you know it's not tough!  I lost my poppa 3 years ago and have a hard time making them but.....I think of Pop everytime I do one!  It's funny some of the things I do to keep Pop in my life!  One is when we do things like 4th of July fireworks, Easter Eggs, etc - I wear a pair of his pj pants and shirt and it makes me feel like he's with us!  Kinda' silly but we still can have our Pop be #1!  He'll always be my #1. 

Sorry for rambling!  Anyway, this is a Cricut Celebrate with Flourish card and Pink Cat Studio card!  I thought I'd combine the challenges of a manly card for Amber's Crafts and Stuff with Fantabulous Cricut.  I hope you'll join us at Amber's Crafts!  Go check out the team's awesome mojo!  You'll definitely love it!  Now remember you have one week to submit your entry!  You know you want those bragging rights - "I Won At Amber's Crafts"!!!!!!

 Meljens Challenge this week was simple!  Use the length wise large business size card!  9.5 x 4 inch card!  Sounds simple - actually once I picked a sketch challenge - it was simple - I chose the Sketch Saturday challenge - it was simple! I actually liked it because sometimes I seem to fidget a lot with the smaller cards!  Too much to say and not enough time kinda thing!  I'm sure you all know what I mean!  With the longer card - I was able to say everything I wanted to say - I used my old "Fall stack" from Cloud 9 designs because the stack is longer.  I don't think it looks Halloweeney, do you?  Is Halloweeney a word??  Oh well, no spell check today! LOL!  I used my beloved Nesties and some bling and bamo!  Done!  Hope you enjoy - it'll be fun to send!
