Well, I decided to use one of Kathy's images from Whimsy Stamps!  This is too fun!  A little bear in his canoe on a lazy summer day on the river!  I used my cricut to cut a sun, the sentiment and the waves!  Pretty simple but too fun!!

This is a fun challenge for me!  A recipe from Catch the Bug Challenge blog!  Well, here it is!

So I used 

 Dottie - Wonder Woman with blue ribbon, 2 red buttons and of course, - RED WHITE AND BLUE!

just a note

This is a card for a friend that is fighting Breast Cancer!  I thought this was appropriate for her - I know it's not the customary pink!  But the biggest weapon, I've been told, is to keep fighting!  So, I used this Kenny K image from KennyKdownloads.com  And...I am sure they get tired of pink?!?!?  Anyway, I had a great time doing this card and hope you have a good time checking it out!!  Kenny K's Krafty Krew is having an "Anything Goes" challenge this week and this works!!

So, let's see what you conjure up for fun in the sun.  I think it's all about just having fun during the summer - it's pretty hot during the summer here in Visalia - as a matter of fact, this last weekend was 110 degrees.  I don't know about you - but in my book - that's HOT!!  Anyway, I combined my cricut and my EK Success punch some blingy pearls in silver and orange ....and than my little Cooking Marci.  Now, go check out La-La-Land Crafts site and see what marvelous "stuff" they have and if you enter remember - you could win something!!

Is this lamb from Crissy just too adorable??  This week she is sponsoring our challenge at Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Challenge.  It's all about the layers!  Well, I'm not sure you can tell but I layered the lamb - the card base is pink, the paper is from MCG at Whimsy and I printed the lamb on the background paper so that the grass was there, then I printed the image two more times - once to color and put on the page, the flowers on popped up and then I put another layer with just the head and used liquid applique for the fuzzy head!  I thought the sentiment was perfect, and that's it - but lotsa simple layers without being too bulky!  I hope you like how it turned out!  Now, go check out what the team has conjured up for this challenge of:

fun in the sun

This is a too fun card!  I made this card sometime ago and never used it on my blog!  So....when I saw the challenge at Kenny K's Krafty Krew - I said - Shazam!  So...here goes - hope you enjoy - I used a combination of stuff - the printed paper was subtle so I added my embossing pen for the yellow drinks, paper pieced the same paper but in green on my Bathing Beauty.  You will find her by clicking on the Bathing Beauty link.  I cut the swimsuits from a dp from Michaels that had different suits on it and that was it - a ribbon!  Hope you enjoy!

Catch the Bug Challenge

Well, I think we all know the challenge - this week it's all about back to school!  Yay - Mom's everywhere are celebrating right now!  It's time to send those kidos back to school!  I used Ruler Boy and Girl from Bugaboo images.  I used the PNG Ruler Boy and then cut and raised the girl image.  My sentiment is from Bugaboo also and cut with my Spellbinders along with a Sizzix flourish!  Hope you enjoy and hope your kids are back in the saddle and successful this year!

This week at Tiddly Inks Challenge blog - it's about using your favorite image!  i decided to use the pirate and go monochromatic and I paperpieced the hat and pants!  The gears are from my Spellbinders and Cuttlebug!  I so love how she came out!  Hope you enjoy her also -

Yup - It's that time again - It's time for another challenge at Just Some Lines Challenge Blog and yes - it's time to start those Christmas cards!  I need to make like 200 - I better get a move on!!  Well, this bi-weekly challenge is:

Layer It Up!

That's right - show us your layers!  I used "Big Hat Girl with Gift" and "Tower of Gifts".  You can't tell too well - but I printed 2 of everything - and matted the base and layerd her hat!  There's also some bling on the bow of the present she's holding and the hair pieces have little blings!  Now go check what the Design Team has conjured up and then show us your creations!  Have fun!!  Join in!!

No Card!

I will say - this was probably one of my fastest creations!  Sometimes I think - now what to make - 

No card - Patties Creations Design Challenge!!

 - that could mean anything but a card, right!  I have a bunch of these $1 "note" books from Target's $ 1 bin (btw - haven't been there in months - probably cause I got so much stuff from prior - LOL).  Anyway, back to the project - I actually colored this beautiful butterflly from Patties Creations Etsy Store some time ago and the swirl is from the sizzix die - i used the inside and not the negative - Ok - now I did cut the "notes" from my cricut - just for this project!

So.....I challenge you a little more - don't just make "no card" - how bout using some scraps??  I'll be watching for you and go check out what the team has come up with - Patties Creations Challenge Blog!

Monochromatic -

Man am I slow!  I was thinking I was the "spotlight" team at Lollipop Crafts this week!  Well, wrongo!  i was asleep at the wheel - good thing I wasn't really driving!!  Anyway, this week at Lollipop Crafts Challenge Blog - it's all about:

Simple, you say??  Well, sometimes not so much for me - but this time I went with my new "favorite" color.  Ok - believe it or no - I'm going to paint my spare room - not the guest room - the spare room the darkest of the oranges!  Yikes, eh?

Yes, that's what I said!  I have a friend that asked for some cards for a friend just diagnosed with cancer!  So, I had a few but didn't want them all to be about the cancer -- i just got this warrior from Kenny K's downloads and thought - she's a perfect battle warrior - because we all know it's about the battle!  So....we are supposed to use ice cream colors at Kenny K's Krafty Krew challenge- So.....Strawberry and Blueberry!  I hope you like her - i think she'll do the job!!

Ok - it's time for a little Summer Scene!!  IT's A NEW CHALLENGE!!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.   We have a new challenge for you this fortnight and it is BEACH, SAND and/or SURF theme.  So, just come up with a creation that fits this theme and share it with us.  You have until Thurs., August 9 at 11:59pm EST to come play along with us.

Lemonade!

Well, Deana has been at it again!  I just love this lemonade pitcher along with the bowls of lemons!  i just had to do this!!  I cut the sentiment out of the cricut "just because cards" cartridge!  The challenge this week at Crafty Creations Challenge blog is "Summer Fun"!
