That's Mister Old Fart

Is this the best image and saying or what??  My dear ex-husband's birthday was last week - so I made the card and kept it for this post!  I love the saying and we're always teasing him so this was perfect!  I used the Bugaboo image because this week is "ANYTHING GOES" at Lollipop Craft Challenge Blog!
So.....here's my submission!  You have no excuse not to play this week!  Use whatever you want! I used a Wonky Square Nesite and the positive and negative from a Spellbinder border!  and my Stampin up punch for the sentiment!  really very simple!  Now, go check out what the girls have come up with and remember - No Excuses this Week!!  Show us what you do!!!

Well, this is a fun week at Christmas Card challenges - for me a tough one!  The challenge is:

liquid applique

The toughie for me is - I don't have it and they didn't have it in any of the stores locally - I could order it - but it wouldn't get here in time!!  So....I used Gesso!  Afterwards - puffy paint was suggest, and lotsa other stuff!  So....use what is puffy to you!  The gesso was 3d and so I added some re-inker and glitter!  It's on the tree and the ornament in Santa's hand!  I decided to incorporate Sassy Cheryl's challenge and add PINK!  This is a Sassy Cheryl's image and so - Why not!

Merry Christmas

This week at Sew Many Cards Challenge Blog is use 2 background papers.  Well, I took that to mean to Design Papers - I guess in theory it could be solid, eh??  Designer's Choice!!  Anyway - you just gotta check out the images at Sew Many Cards!  Too fun!  Now really, don't you think this hippo is just too hip for words!   I did the gate fold card this time- i don't do it too much but thought it was perfect for this with a beaded oval from Nestabilities! Oh - and the flourish is from my beloved Cricut!  The paper is winter and the sentiment is Christmas but you could easily have made it a reindeer saying "happy birthday", eh??  Anyway, go check out the challenge blog and see what the team has to inspire you!  You will love it and check out our freebie (or almost)!!

Too Cute to Spook!

Now it's time for another challenge at Delightful Challenges!  It's use :: PURPLE< GREEN<ORANGE N BLACK!  Simple enough, eh?  My purple looks kinda blue in my picture - but in person - definitely purple!  I used the Boogie Pumpkin and one of the Halloween Sentiments from Digital Delights!  This is one of the 2/5/7/10 boxes , yet again!!  I need a few more for Monday!  I love making them - I'm going to stuff them with candy and goodies!  oh - here's the tutorial for those just coming into my blog!  I always try to post the link - 2/5/7/10 box Tutorial from Splitcoast.  So so simple to make and only takes one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11!  Anyway, come join us - have some fun!  Show us your colors baby!!

What a fun image!!  I just Whiff of Joy images - and I love this week's challenge at Crafty Creations Challenge!!  it's use LEAVES!!  What a fun time of year to incorporate leaves!  You can use them in zillions of ways!  I thought I'd use them around my little dancer from Whiff of Joy images!   You've just gotta love those big eyes!!  I used my copics to color, the nesties for the mat and some ribbon and lots of leaves and butterflies from my Martha Stewart punch!!  The leaves are from my cricut!! n Dance on little dancer!!Now--you've just gotta go over to Crafty Creations Challenge Blog and check out what the girls have going on!!!  It's rockin' the house!!   and then give it a go - you could win this image from our awesome sponsor-

Little Star Sleeper

Do you just love this image of the mother and child??  This image is from A Day for Daisies!  I think it is as sweet as can be - I cut them out with my nestabilty along with the mat.  This sentiment came with the image.  I used a Doodle/Flourish and doodled with my embossing pen on the moon, stars, etc.  I love the shine.  My daughter walked up the next day and asked if the card was still wet??  In person - it really shines......Simple and fairly monochromatic and sweet!
